The first ever “Invest in Ajman” summit, in Lyon, has been concluded successfully, according to His Excellency(HE), Mahmood Al Hashemi, Director General of the Ajman Free Zone (AFZ), who led the senior delegation to France along with Mr. Ali Fahmi, Head of Operations, and Mr. Eissa Al Sheebani, Manager Regional Operations.
More than 50 potential investors, entrepreneurs and consultants attended a B2B summit and one-to-one meetings where senior representatives from the AFZ explained the competitive advantages and benefits offered.
“France is a very attractive market for us and we have organised our first such event here to boost business opportunities between France and the Ajman Free Zone in the UAE. Bilateral trade relations between the entire European Union (EU) and the UAE have increased in recent years and we hope to have a mutually rewarding long-term relationship with the French Business community and its trade associations on a regular basis,” said HE, Al Hashemi.
Representatives of the AFZ, led by their senior management team presented three distinct business set-up services; Smart Warehousing, E-Commerce Licensing and the popular option of Off-Shore Investments at this business summit targeting B2B consultants and business owners in Lyon and its neighbouring cities.
The United Arab Emirates is the EU’s 11th biggest global trading partner and its key trade associates in the Arabian Gulf. The AFZ is one of the leading free zones in UAE, and it has already organised successful investment summits in Russia, the CIS, Cyprus and Australia over the past 18 months.
