Danone’s $550 million offer for a 25 percent stake in Chinese milk powder maker Yashili International Holdings Ltd is the largest French acquisition in China since Arkema’s offer for the production facilities of chemical company Taixing Jurong in January 2014. - The deal is Danone’s largest purchase since it raised its interest in Morocco’s dairy production company, Centrale Laitiere, at a cost of US$685.9 million in 2012.
