The European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) today announces the launch of its new website, www.evca.eu, aimed at improving understanding of private equity and venture capital.
www.evca.eu highlights how private equity and venture capital make a positive contribution to Europe’s economy and society. The EVCA recognises that most audiences are not familiar with private equity (see video) and aims to explain how it operates in an engaging way. www.evca.eu will open the door on the companies backed by private equity in order to bring to life how private equity creates lasting value for investors, companies and employees.
The EVCA hopes that the site will develop as a forum for debate, including regular blogs from across the economic and political spectrum in ‘Creating Lasting Value’. The website is integrated into social media platforms in order to carry the conversation out into society (Twitter Linkedin).
The EVCA Secretary-General Dörte Höppner comments: “The EVCA’s new website is about opening the door to private equity and starting a dialogue. Private equity and venture capital have an essential part to play in delivering growth in Europe and we are excited that this website offers a forum for discussion about private equity’s role in Europe’s economy. The website will keep evolving, so we look forward to receiving your comments and feedback.”
